Caregiver for Elderly, Bühl, Germany - 2280 EUR

Bühl, 77815 Germany

a woman 84 years 163 cm 50 kg

Job description

We are looking for a caregiver for an 84-year-old senior (50 kg, 163 cm) who lives alone in a family house in the village of Bühl (Postal Code 77815). The senior suffers from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, vascular Parkinson's syndrome, and urinary incontinence. In March 2025, she experienced a fall resulting in a fractured femur. Despite her diagnoses, she is well-oriented in her home environment, recognizes people, and can engage in conversations when in a favorable mental state. She occasionally has difficulties with expression and vocabulary, mainly due to nervousness. She has weak sensation in her fingers following chemotherapy. She moves independently using a walker or cane, both indoors and outdoors, but only with accompaniment outside. She goes to the toilet independently but wears diapers due to urinary incontinence. She requires partial assistance with dressing and hygiene—she manages a shower with help in a shower stall with a bench. Personal hygiene is also attended to by a nursing service. Meal preparation, cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry care, and garden maintenance are part of the caregiver's duties. The senior actively participates in household chores and enjoys helping as her condition allows. The senior is sociable; if she gets along with the caregiver, she is friendly and enjoys communicating. She delights in conversations, gardening, and cooking together. She takes a walk daily. The caregiver's role will also include maintaining a regular daily routine and gently encouraging the senior's independence. The family lives in a separate apartment unit upstairs and is helpful, for example, with doctor visits or larger shopping trips. Night care is not required. Accommodation for the caregiver is provided in a furnished room (bed, wardrobe, table, chair, sideboard) with internet access. The caregiver will arrange time off individually with the family.

Frequently asked Questions - Carers

Do you charge fees?

You don't pay our employment agency anything at all. We believe it is not right to charge people money in order to enable them to work, and so we offer assistance in finding job positions completely free of charge.

Do I have to be self-employed?

Most job positions in Germany are based on Slovak/Czech trade licenses, though employment contracts are possible with some families. In Switzerland, work is conducted under Swiss employment contracts.

Do I need a nursing course for a carer job?

No, completing a caregiving course is not necessary for most job positions; however, it is important to have at least some experience from a home environment.

How long will it take you to find my family?

Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.

Can you help me travel? Who pays for the trip?

If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.

How long are rotations usually?

In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.

What is the salary and what does it depend on?

The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.

What level of German do I need to have for a carer job?

In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.

Do you also offer work for male carers?

Yes, we have been successfully placing male caregivers in families as well.

Expand your horizons and start building an international career today!
