Trpí inkontinenciou a má zavedený močový katéter, ktorý pravidelne ošetruje opatrovateľská služba. Opatrovateľka je zodpovedná za každodenné vyprázdňovanie nožného katétrového vaku. Nočné vstávanie nie je bežné, v prípade technického problému s katétrom (napr. upchatie alebo porucha odtoku) je potrebné situáciu riešiť a v prípade potreby kontaktovať záchrannú službu. Dvíhanie nie je potrebné.

Náplňou práce je kompletná pomoc a vedenie domácnosti vrátane prípravy jedál (raňajky, obed, večera), upratovania, prania, žehlenia, bežných nákupov a udržiavania domácnosti v poriadku. Senior potrebuje aj aktivizáciu, spoločnosť, rozhovor a sprevádzanie v každodennom režime. Pri prechádzkach v okolí domu a v záhrade je potrebná asistencia a dohľad, v prípade potreby pomoc s pohybom.

V domácnosti žije aj manželka, ktorá je inak prítomná, ale potrebuje odľahčenie v starostlivosti o domácnosť a možnosť tráviť čas mimo domu. Počas jej neprítomnosti (15. – 22. 8. 2026) je senior plne v starostlivosti opatrovateľky. Súčasťou práce je aj varenie pre manželku, keď je prítomná. Režim práce a voľna sa prispôsobuje jej prítomnosti, po dohode s rodinou a synom.

Náplňou práce je najmä podpora ich samostatnosti – pomoc sa ponúka len tam, kde je reálne potrebná (občasné asistovanie pánovi pri obliekaní alebo návšteve toalety). U pani je dôležitý dohľad, aby sa predišlo pádom, a pomoc pri obliekaní. Hlavnou úlohou je starostlivosť o domácnosť, udržiavanie poriadku, pranie, príprava jedál, nákupy a sprevádzanie na lekárske vyšetrenia. Vyžaduje sa aktívny vodičský preukaz, pričom k dispozícii je vozidlo Renault kombi s manuálnou prevodovkou.

Pre opatrovanie je pripravené ubytovanie s rozlohou až 40 m², ktoré pozostáva zo spálne a obývacej izby s balkónom a internetom (WLAN), kúpeľňa je spoločná. Vyžaduje sa dobrá znalosť nemeckého jazyka. Fajčenie je povolené výhradne vonku, mimo domu. Voľný čas je na vzájomnej dohode.
